Natural Flowing: A Commercial Space Design

Unleashing the Power of Flowing Elements

Designed by Ryan Kuo (Clearspace) from Taiwan, the Natural Flowing commercial space design embodies the essence of fluidity and harmony. Inspired by the smooth flow of nature, this design seamlessly combines practicality and visual continuity to create a captivating space.

With a focus on functionality and demand conditions, the design incorporates curving stainless steel elements that not only provide practicality but also reflect the smooth flow of the open space. The white wood lines ceiling resembles the wings of a bird soaring through the sky, adding a touch of elegance and grace to the overall design.

One of the unique features of this design is its ability to cater to the needs of a client selling eyewear products, including popular sunglasses. The design team aimed to strike a balance between fashion and functionality, offering consumers attractive options without compromising on the need for functional sports glasses. The result is a variety of different options for different sports, all of which combine a "cool" and "forceful" shape. This project seamlessly blends a modern exhibition space with futuristic, scientific, and international elements, creating a sense of fashion and power.

The realization of this design involved the use of stainless steel, wood, and acrylic materials. The display cabinets, designed to curve, required meticulous craftsmanship. The carpenter crafted curved cabinets, which were then combined with stainless steel iron sheets cut by a blacksmith. Layered transparent acrylic was used to prevent scratches and create a visually stunning arrangement along the curves. The effort put into this process accentuates the dark ceiling, turning the ceiling lamps into moons in the sky and emphasizing the block ceiling planks design. The overall effect creates a sense of wings ready to take flight.

The Natural Flowing design spans an impressive 1656 square meters and is located in Taipei City, Taiwan. It was completed by a team of talented individuals, including Ryan Kuo, Lydia Chen, and JIE-YONG HUANG.

This exceptional design was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2014 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade recognizes the outstanding expertise and innovation demonstrated by the design. The Natural Flowing design showcases remarkable technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, evoking positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
